Summer may be over, but it’s never a bad time to go fishing.

Officials from the Capital Regional Tourism Office and Lake Murray will host two fishing tournaments in October in Lake Murray.

The Carolinas Bass Challenge Classic and the Major League Fishing Phoenix Bass Fishing League Regional Championship will take place over the next two weekends.

The MLF Phoenix Bass Fishing League will be in competition on October 14th and 15th. Weigh-ins will take place at Dreher Island State Park. Additional tournament information can be found at majorleaguefishing.com/events/2021-10-14-lake-murray.

The Carolinas Bass Challenge Classic will be held on October 22-23. According to officials from Capital City / Lake Murray Country, two hundred anglers will compete with the weigh-ins which will also take place at Dreher Island State Park. Additionally, the MLF announced this week that the 2022 Phoenix Bass Fishing League will face off again on Lake Murray next spring in May.
